The President’s Club (Nancy Gibbs + Michael Duffy, 2012)

How I stumbled upon it: In my Amazon recommended tab a couple years back!

What it's about: It’s a chronicle of the most elite club in the world - that of living US Presidents. From the battles between Truman, Eisenhower, and Hoover, to the unlikely friendship between Bush 41 and Clinton, this book traces the relationships that have been both challenging and fruitful for the men in the world’s most isolated office.

What I thought: It was so interesting! I love presidential history so I relish any opportunity to dig deeper into the lives of those who have made decisions that have impacted us the most. I really enjoyed learning about the ways that former presidents have aided the sitting president, and how impactful this club can be in times of crisis. If you like history or just want to learn more about the presidency in recent years, I would definitely recommend.

You can get it here.
